How Fungi fits together
One picture of Shiitake, Spore, Oyster, Apps, Computers, Fungi Hub and Bazaar, and how they connect.
Fungi has a few pieces. You can use any one of them alone. This page shows how they connect.
Shiitake is the Agent. Oyster is where Apps live. Fungi Hub hosts Agents, Computers and Apps for a Team.

How they connect
Section titled “How they connect”- Shiitake and your subscription. Shiitake signs in to your Claude or ChatGPT subscription or a provider key. That provider bills you.
- Shiitake and Fungi Hub. Optional.
fungi login --provider fungilets Shiitake use hosted models paid by your Team.fungi login --fungi-mcp <url>gives it your Team’s Computers. You can also attach a folder on your machine to a Team Computer. - Agents and Oyster. Oyster serves every installed App through one MCP endpoint. Claude Code, Codex or any MCP client connects with its own key and calls the Apps from code. Writes need approval.
- Oyster and Fungi Hub. Fungi Hub hosts its Apps with Oyster. Agar defines their shared App contract; the two hosts have different installation flows.
- Apps and Computers. An App reaches a Computer only through the access it declares and you approve. Shed opens its terminal; Inkcap edits its files.
The dashed Roadmap connection is not shipped: Local Agents cannot yet join a Team as machine-home Agents.
Fungi architecture has the hosted details.
