Host a game server
Create a game server for your Team and share its connection details.
Game Servers are enabled per Team. On a Team with Game Servers, you create and manage servers in the Games App.
Choose a game
Section titled “Choose a game”The Games App offers Minecraft, Terraria, Factorio, Valheim and Project Zomboid. The create flow lets you choose a server size and shows the available variant, its hourly rate and your Team’s usage credit before you start.
Create a server
Section titled “Create a server”- Open Games for your Team, choose Servers, then choose a game and Create. If you only see playable games, server management is not enabled for your Team.
- Give the server a name your Team will recognize.
- Choose a game and any variant shown for it.
- Complete the game’s required settings:
- Minecraft: The server operator must accept the Minecraft EULA.
- Valheim: Choose a server password of at least five characters. Share it only with the people you want to join.
- Project Zomboid: Set an admin password of at least eight characters. Keep this separate from the password you give players.
- Terraria and Factorio: No additional settings are required.
- Review the hourly price and credit balance, then create the server.
The price is charged while the server is awake. The rate can vary by game; use the value shown in the create flow.
Join your server
Section titled “Join your server”Open the server in the Games App and copy the connection address shown in its details. Use that address in the matching game’s multiplayer screen. Minecraft supports Java and Bedrock through Geyser. Enter the Valheim server password when the game asks for it.
If the server is asleep, start it from the Games App and wait for it to become ready before joining. Stop it when your group is finished playing.
Back up or restore a world
Section titled “Back up or restore a world”Backups are managed from the server details. Stop the server before requesting a backup or restoring one. A new backup appears after the server host completes the request. Restoring a backup replaces the current world with the selected copy.
If you do not see the Games App or its server controls, Game Servers are not enabled for your Team.
