Status
Run your own Apps on Cloudflare Workers or celld: installable App Releases, each with its own Durable Object, SQLite database and declared bindings
Stability
Section titled “Stability”Oyster declares source version 0.6.0. Until 1.0, a minor release can change the public API, so pin the version you test against.
Package qualification does not publish a release. Check the npm registry before choosing a released version.
Limits and errors
Section titled “Limits and errors”Typed AppInstanceError codes distinguish stale authority, mismatched identity,
inactive or deleted state and unsupported schema replacement. The host decides
their HTTP presentation and retry behavior. Rejected admission is not a
successful empty backend response.
Deletion persists deleting before purge and a deleted tombstone afterwards.
A later access resumes an interrupted purge; this is access-driven recovery, not
an autonomous scheduler. Recreating a facet cannot bypass the tombstone.
Oyster is not admission. It does not decide who may install, enable or call an App; the host must obtain that authority from its owner.
Contribute and license
Section titled “Contribute and license”Oyster is developed inside Fungi’s own workspace with the rest of the family and
released to this repository with its history. There,
pnpm --filter @fungi.computer/oyster test runs the lifecycle checks,
pnpm --filter @fungi.computer/oyster build compiles the package, and
test:standalone and test:standalone:celld run a real Oyster under workerd
and under celld, install the Notes example App, call its methods and drive its
UI in a browser. The package uses the MIT license in LICENSE.
