Make, test, and build Vishnu cartridge games

For a published npm release:

npm install @fungi.computer/vishnu

pnpm, Yarn and Bun work the same way.

Needs Node.js >=24.

What comes with it

Installing @fungi.computer/vishnu also installs @types/node, @types/three, three, tsx, typescript, vite, zod, playwright, effect.

Install or set up

npm install -g @fungi.computer/vishnu

Vishnu needs Node 24 or newer. The package installs the vishnu executable and these library entrypoints:

@fungi.computer/vishnu: the cartridge SDK (defineCartridge, component, command, system, place, meadow, window blocks and more).
@fungi.computer/vishnu/library: ready-made actors (tree, cat) and their art (libraryVisuals).
@fungi.computer/vishnu/characters: rigged characters and casts.
@fungi.computer/vishnu/art: bake-time builders for Three.js art.
@fungi.computer/vishnu/testing: testWorld, a headless world on the real kernel.

The package includes the stock kernel and verifies every file against its SHA-256 pin before caching it. After installing the package and its dependencies, new, check, test, build and dev work locally without an account, portal or network access. Publication is a separate host operation.
