Status
Media generation, durable output retention and provenance with host-owned authority and billing
Stability
Section titled “Stability”Darkroom declares source version 0.3.1. Until 1.0, a minor release can change the public API, so pin the version you test against.
Package qualification does not publish a release. Check the npm registry before choosing a released version.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”References are bounded to four files, 512 pixels per side and 8 MiB per image. Still-image output and public downloads are bounded to 32 MiB. Catalog models may impose tighter limits. Video output has its own 64 MiB provider bound.
Private-provenance export supports PNG, JPEG and WebP. GIF without XMP remains index-only. Signed, malformed and unsupported images return a typed refusal. The original file is never changed.
Contribute and license
Section titled “Contribute and license”MIT. See LICENSE.
The server export provides the Promise generateMedia(host, request, signal?)
boundary and the relative HTTP service. Hosts composing Effect programs import
runMediaGeneration from @fungi.computer/darkroom/effect. Its advanced
declarations require the host’s Effect environment; ordinary Workers consumers
need only the native Workers declarations.
